As President Kagame is trying to cope up with the economic bite emanating from the economic sanctions, he has become so dangerous not only to himself but to the nation as well. As the saying goes, he/she who beats the dog is actually looking for its owner. Kigali has expelled an aide to the Belgium's Military attaché, for what Kigali calls activities incompatible with his diplomatic function.
Kigali and Brussels have been engaged in diplomatic cold war over the war in Congo in which Kigali is accused for directly and indirectly supporting the M23 rebels who have caused mayhem in the eastern part of the vast country in the great lakes region. The Rwandan dictator has become restless and attacking everybody he suspects of knowing his monkey tricks. He has been burning people's houses and hiding the smoke or deliberately ignored by the international community for different reasons but as many key players in the international community are becoming less submissive and discovering the true colors of the dictator, he has become a wounded buffalo and make no mistake he will not spare anybody before himself becomes a victim of his own attitude. It is not yet clear what will be the cost of this current diplomatic row between Kigali and Brussels but what is clear though is that Kigali is not only playing with fire but is also apparently facing unprecedented discontent both within the country and abroad. The recent outcry of the families of the fallen Bishops have not bruised the presidents diplomatic credentials but have left the Ghosts of the fallen Bishops who were butchered in Kabgayi by Kagame Generals on the orders of the former rebel chief who turned president(Kagame Paul) himself and other innocent people demanding justice from the international community.Jaqueline UmulungiBrussels
