[afrocarpus] How Rwanda is like North Korea ?

How Rwanda is like North Korea ?

1) Kagame, the President of Rwanda is a supreme leader. He controls everything  and everyone in  Rwanda
2) The press and broadcasters - all of them are under direct Kagame's control. None of them can report different views than  government views.
3) If you talk about the genocide against Tutsi, you are a best friend of Kagame.
4) If you say that even Hutus were killed in the genocide, you are denying or minimising  the  genocide of Tutsi. You become an enemy of Kagame.
5) You must not talk about  the ethnic makeup of Rwandan people. But you are  very welcome  to talk  loudly and only about the genocide of Tutsi.
6) If you praise  Kagame about  his personal economic  and development achievements for the country, you are  his best friend.
7) You are an enemy of Kagame if  you report  about Rwandan people's poverty, economic hardship and famines.
8) You are a friend of Kagame if you discuss with him about Africa as a whole, taken as one country.

[afrocarpus] Re: Rwandan President Paul Kagame denies UN Burundi rebel allegations

Kagame must not use the thousands of Burundian refugees  hosted by  Rwanda to destabilise Burundi.  This also remind everybody that Rwanda is a warehouse of war criminals and killers from both Burundi and DRC.

Furthermore, the problems of democratic rights and  changes of constitution exist in all  African Great Lakes countries: Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Uganda and DRC. Burundi should not be the focus of any attempts to resolve these problems. These problems should be resolved collectively by the EAC and AU.

Over the last 15 years, Kagame has been  denying his military activities in DRC to support M23. There is no surprise that he will deny this report as well. With international media coverage and support ( including BBC), Kagame was saying that the problems of DRC is about  lack leadership and good governance  and that Rwanda has nothing to do with DRC.

No one can believe in what Kagame  says. Kagame still believes that he can replicate  anywhere ( Burundi and DRC) his military adventures  that lead to Rwanda genocide.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame denies UN Burundi rebel allegations

Rwandan President Paul Kagame has denied allegations by UN experts that his country is continuing to support rebels in neighbouring Burundi.

Mr Kagame said the problems in Burundi originated from within the country, not elsewhere.

Burundi has suffered a violent political crisis since President Pierre Nkurunziza decided to run for a controversial third term last year.

It is exactly a year since Mr Nkurunziza survived a coup attempt.

Rwanda denied similar allegations about supporting rebels made in a previous UN-backed report in February.
