Why some migrants employees who do not speak English are recruited in the UK?
It is because the recruitment process isn't fair. Most of those migrants who can't speak English are simply recruited by other migrants or British migrants who are working in the public sector including NHS, local authorities, etc. You will always find them on each interview panel.
The problem of lack of English language skills doesn't concern Black migrants because the vast majority of Black people speak well English including the ones originating from Francophone countries. This is because English is easier to learn when you speak French than when you speak another language. However, they are the ones who are likely to be unemployed.
While the majority of Black applicants are fluent in English, they are more likely to be discriminated against during the employment selection process. The majority of Black applicants would not reach because the interview stage.
