Facts Do Not Cease to Exist Because They are Ignored

Plane crash killed Presidents Juvenal Habyarimana of Rwanda and Cyprien Ntaryamira of Burundi.
Presidents Juvenal Habyarimana of Rwanda and Cyprien Ntaryamira of Burundi were killed when their plane was shot down.

(WASHINGTON DC) - Many have researched, conducted interviews, mapped the area and even written many reports on the assassination of former President Habyarimana of Rwanda and former President Ntaryamira of Burundi whose plane was shot down by a surface to air missile on April 6, 1994. The French crewmembers as well as both Presidential aides were killed as the plane crashed to the ground on the very land where former President Habyarimana's house resided.
His own son watched the event happen while lounging at the pool. Body parts were scattered among the wreckage of the plane.Global Research calls this high-level assassination "the least-investigated political assassination and terrorist attack."
While many have speculated, who shot down the plane there are no definitive answers and only those involved know the absolute truth. Some very credible sources have come forward and offered testimony stating that current President Paul Kagame was the one who ordered the shooting down of the plane. Those sources includeDr. Theogene RudasingwaAbdul Ruzibiza (now deceased) also testified before the ICTR that Paul Kagame had ordered the assassinations, as well as other former government insiders of the Rwandan Patriotic Front.
International courts and investigative teams have also launched inquiries into the assassination, which eventually caused diplomatic ties to be severed between France and Rwanda. Diplomatic relations between these two nations have since been mended.
Regardless, the question of who shot down the plane carrying two heads of state of sovereign African nations has never been definitively solved.
Friedrich Nietzsche said, "Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed."
Few things in life are more freeing than speaking the truth. Truth can come in many forms, written, oral or experiential. Truth can free a captive, it can relieve a guilty conscience, it can lift a spirit or it can set a repressed nation free. Dr. Theogene Rudasingwa has spoken his truth about President Paul Kagame since he left Rwanda to live in the US as a refugee. He started the Rwanda National Congress with one of the primary standards of telling the truth.
Dr. Rudasingwa testified before both the French and the Spanish courts as to what President Paul Kagame told him about his actions on that day as well as other crimes. His testimony was received and recorded by the courts.
Dr. Rudasingwa has taken much criticism from detractors for his testimony before these courts and has now taken another step to test the validity of his statements and posted the following challenge on his Facebook page on October 23, 2013:
Whether or not President Kagame will accept this challenge remains to be seen but is also highly doubtful that he will accept the experiment put forth by Dr. Rudasingwa. He has mostly denied that he had anything to do with the assassination with the exception of this video interview with the BBC where he appears to be rattled and a bit belligerent by the questioning and states he does not care that the sitting President was killed. When one asks many Rwandan's who shot down the plane they will say it is an "unspoken truth" that President Kagame is responsible for this assassination. Many opposition leaders, apart from the RNC, state that they knew on April 6, 1994 that President Paul Kagame assassinated President Habyarimana.
Rwanda is a nation built on reconciliation but for true reconciliation to occur the truth must be said. If the truth of the genocide and the assassination is never fully revealed then Rwanda will always struggle with full and complete reconciliation.
The only person with something to hide is he who will not take the lie-detector test.
