Rwanda: British Envoy Bids Farewell to Kagame

Benedict Llewellyn-Jones, the outgoing British High Commissioner to
Rwanda, today bid adieu to President Paul Kagame at Village Urugwiro
in Kigali.
Llewellyn-Jones has been the UK's top diplomat in Rwanda for the last
three years.
Speaking to reporters, he hailed the bilateral economic cooperation
between Great Britain and Rwanda, noting that the latter is known for
efficient use of development aid.
Llewellyn-Jones will be succeeded by William Gelling.
In a statement posted on the website of the UK High Commission in
Kigali, Gelling, said: "I am delighted to have been appointed British
High Commissioner to the Republic of Rwanda."
"It is a privilege to have the opportunity to strengthen relations
between the UK and Rwanda at such an important time. I look forward to
building on the growing links between the two countries to further our
shared economic, political, and security interests," he added.
