UK-Rwanda: Unsustainable relations based on ignoring war crimes and human rights violations committed by Kagame

This is a moment of Truth between UK and Rwanda.  Some people claim that UK and Kagame are ' friends' and that Karake 's arrest will have negative impact of  UK-Rwanda relations. Relations based on ignoring crimes and human rights violations committed by a friend are not sustainable.

Friendship does not mean that   they (UK and Rwanda) should let it go when things get wrong, when your friend does not consider  your own values. It is your friend who must be accountable for their own actions and wrongdoings, not you !

No one would accept to continue being a friend of  Kagame, a killer, a leader who discriminate and kill his own people, a dictator,  a leader who initiate conflicts with his neighbours, a leader who spend the resources you give him on his own party to make it stronger in  order  to remain the sole political player in the country, a leader who use the resources you give him to provide services to one ethnic group, a leader who does not allow political and media freedom, a leader who is hunting the people who  fled him, a leader who makes life difficult to Rwandan nationals who  fled him using spies such as Karake, a leader who kills his nationals who fled him,  a leader who believes in ethnic supremacy in business, governance and leadership and who provide resources to ensure this happens.

The UK and Rwanda governments of maltreatment of hutu asylum seekers in pure persecution. It is aimed to meet the Rwandan Government needs. Kagame's spies come to UK with updated lists of  Rwandan nationals who fled Kagame and who should be labelled as genocidaires.

Kagame has been claiming that he works for all Rwandan  people. However, the Rwandan diaspora days organised by Kagame  exclude Hutu living in exile. They are attended by Tutsi who are still abroad while Kagame fought a bloody war claiming that he was fighting for the return of Tutsi refugees. Since then he has been encouraging them to stay abroad by organising Rwandan days by providing resources to do business abroad and in Rwanda. Kagame policies have been that ethnic references should not play any role in the country. However, in practice ethnic criteria are the ones used in organising those Kagame days, appointments in key  administration and military positions , in addition to active search for  international jobs for Tutsi.

No one understands why a Kagame's spy travels frequently to London. These spies are not dealing with IS threats and other  global terrorism being dealt with the International community. UK is not participating in any military or UN  peacekeeping in Africa. So, Kagame needs to explain why his spies are always travelling around the world.

The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.
I have loved justice and hated iniquity: therefore I die in exile.
The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.
When the white man came we had the land and they had the bibles; now they have the land and we have the bibles.

Aucun autre pays n'a encore ...

Paul Kagame: “We refuse to remove defensive measures"

Paul Kagame Refuses to Implement the Washington Accords and UN Security Council Resolution 2773: Analysis and Implications In an exclusive interview published on 3 April 2026, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda openly confirmed that Rwandan forces are deployed in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, rejected calls for their withdrawal, dismissed US sanctions as illegitimate, and signalled clear satisfaction with the current military status quo. This briefing examines what Kagame said, what his remarks mean for the Washington Accords, and what concrete steps the United States must now take if it wishes to restore credibility to its diplomacy in the Great Lakes region. Introduction: A Confession Wrapped in Grievance The interview, conducted by François Soudan and published in Jeune Afrique on 3 April 2026, is one of the most candid public statements Paul Kagame has made on Rwanda's military role in the DRC. Its significance does not lie in revealing something previously unknown. Th...
