South Sudan food crisis deepens amid tanking economy

NYUMANZI, UGANDA, 1 June 2015 (IRIN) - Some 4.6 million people in South Sudan, about 40 percent of the country's population, will have major problems finding enough to eat over the next few months. After 17 months of renewed civil war, and amid falling oil prices, the country's economy is in dire straits. This report comes from a refugee site in neighbouring Uganda.
